Welcome to Coastal CPR and First Aid, LLC!
We are a National AHA Training Center located in Hampton, NH.
We are a BLS and Heartsaver Training Center. We provide community, workplace, and school training through our network of Training Sites and Authorized Instructors.
Vision Statement
Many of us work side by side with each other, some of us have co-taught classes together. We strive to have our instructors work collaboratively, not competitively. Please support each other and our goals for providing exceptional community safety, CPR AED, and First Aid instruction. Our goals for this Training Center include:

- Providing exceptional training and instruction in BLS, CPR AED, First Aid, as well as other safety and wellness instruction to the community members and organizations around us.
- Supporting other instructors to help us meet our first goal.
- Not competing or trying to undercut other instructors.
- Strengthening public support for emergency and safety education.

How to become an American Heart Association Instructor:
- Register for an Instructor Course. We offer BLS and Heartsaver Instructor Courses. If you are a BLS Provider you can take either course, if you hold Heartsaver certification you can register for the Heartsaver Instructor course.
- Complete an Instructor Application Form and attach a copy of your current provider card. You will need to email those ahead of time or bring those to your course.
- Purchase the required instructor materials. Information on what to purchase will be in your instructor course registration confirmation email.
- Complete the Instructor Essentials Course online prior to the classroom portion of the Instructor Course.
- Complete course monitoring within 6 months of course completion.
- Teach a minimum of 4 courses over 2 years.
How to transfer or secondary align with our AHA Training Center:
- Contact us by email or phone. We’ll set up a phone interview to see if we are the right fit.
- Complete an Instructor Application Form, attach a copy of your current provider card, and email that to us at classes@coastalcpr.com.
- If you are transferring, we will have you complete an Instructor Records Transfer form that we will send to your current Training Center.
- We’ll set up a date and time to monitor you. This can be one of your classes or any of our classes in the Training Center.
Have questions about our Training Center? Here is some basic info:
We are a Training Center of Instructors and Training Sites providing community and workplace training. Instructors are not required to teach classes for or at the Training Center and are encourage to provide workplace and community training.
Instructors are required to own or have access to instructor manuals and course materials. This includes, but is not limited instructor manuals, videos, manikins, pocket masks, and AED trainers.
Rosters are due within 5 days of a course. eCard fees are due with the roster. Rosters can be submitted electronically or by mail.
eCard fees: BLS $5 per card, Heartsaver K-12 $5 per card, Heartsaver $20 per card.
Do we have fees? Yes, we do. These fees cover the administrative time to process paperwork, provide course monitoring, and issue instructor and provider eCards. Instructor Candidates will register and pay for their Instructor course. Instructors transferring in or renewing have a renew/transfer fee of $45. Instructors joining as a secondary alignment have a biannual fee of $25. Instructors who align through our Training Sites may be assessed different fees and charges through the Training Site.
What do you provide to instructors? We provide information, mentoring, and support. We send out a monthly newsletter as well as provide both in-person and remote instructor development meetings.
What do you expect from instructors? We would like you to provide BLS, CPR AED, First Aid, and Safety Training in your workplace or community. To maintain your AHA instructor status you must teach a minimum of 4 courses over 2 years. We expect you to follow the guidelines, use training materials properly, and help us train more people to save lives.
Please note that all course charges and fees cover the course supplies which include, but are not limited to books, mannequin lungs, barrier sheets, training valves, gauze, gloves, first aid supplies, cleaning supplies, books and/or handouts and the cost of certification cards; as well as payment to the instructor, rent and utilities. These charges and fees to do not represent income to the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Health and Safety Institute, Safe Sitter, or other organizations whose programs we may offer. These organizations are compensated through our purchase of their training materials, books & cards.
